INTRODUCTION

The Academic Department of Surgery plays a pivotal role in coordinating the undergraduate teaching of surgery for the 5th and 7th year medical students. The department comprises of 7 full Professors, 7 Associate Professors and 4 Assistant Professors. This constitutes the academic staff. They are supported by 6 technicians, 1 departmental scientific assistant, 1 secretary and 1 administrator.
