Open to undergraduate students enrolled in medical, dental, or related health sciences programs in Kuwait and other Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.
Students who have graduated within 12 months prior to the conference date are also eligible.
The student must be listed as the first author of the abstract.
The supervisor(s) must be included as co-author(s) on the abstract.

Open to students currently enrolled in postgraduate programs at the Health Sciences Center (HSC), Kuwait University, or those who have graduated within the 12 months preceding the conference date.
The student must be the first author of the abstract.
Supervisor(s) must be listed as co-author(s) in the abstract.
The abstract must be derived from the graduate thesis.

Open to current clinical residents at the Kuwait Institute of Medical Specialization (KIMS) or those who have graduated within the 12 months preceding the conference date.
The resident must be the first author of the abstract.

The applicant/first author may be one of the following:
- Non-clinical academic staff at HSC, Kuwait University in the rank of Associate or Assistant Professor.
- Support academic or research staff at HSC, Kuwait University: teaching assistants, research assistants, postdoctoral scientists, researchers, research associates, technical staff.
- Academic, support academic or research staff from other colleges within Kuwait University or Abdullah Al Salem University.
- Researchers employed in other scientific institutions in Kuwait conducting health sciences research (e.g., Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research, Dasman Diabetes Institute).
The applicant must be the first author of the abstract.

The applicant/first author may be one of the following:
- Clinical academic staff at HSC, Kuwait University: Associate Professor, Assistant Professor.
- Physicians and healthcare providers from the Ministry of Health, excluding clinical residents.
- Physicians and healthcare providers from other clinical research institutions in Kuwait (e.g., Dasman Diabetes Institute).
Clinical residents (KIMS) must apply under the “Graduate Research Award for Clinical Residents category”.
The applicant must be the first author of the abstract.

The applicant/first author may be:
- A medical or dental student in the clinical years of their program.
- A clinical resident in training.
- An academic staff member at Kuwait University in one of the clinical departments.
- A physician at the Ministry of Health or Dasman Diabetes Institute.

Submit a declaration form signed by all co-authors along with a copy of your Civil ID to poster.hsc@ku.edu.kw
- Abstracts without a signed declaration form will not be considered for any award category
Upon confirmation of abstract acceptance, submit a PDF version of your final poster to poster.hsc@ku.edu.kw for judging.
- The submitted PDF must exactly match the poster displayed at the conference. Posters with discrepancies will be disqualified..
Late submissions will not be accepted. The judging committee will only consider posters received before the official deadline.

When submitting your abstract online, carefully follow the instructions in the submission form regarding the abstract title, authors’ names, affiliations, abstract body, and any funding agency disclosures.
The award applicant must be both the first and corresponding author of the abstract.
All listed authors must have made a significant contribution to the research presented.
Supervisor(s) must be included as co-author(s) in the abstract.
Collaborative projects with overseas institutions are welcomed, but for applicants who apply with affiliations in Kuwait, at least 50% of the work presented must have been done in Kuwait.
The research must have been conducted with prior approval from the appropriate ethical committee(s) (e.g., Ministry of Health, College of Medicine/Kuwait University, or other regulatory bodies). Abstracts that report research on humans or animals without ethical approval will not be considered for any award.
Select winners may be invited to deliver an oral presentation (10–15 minutes) at the conference. This presentation must be delivered by the first author.
