Research focus areas:

  • Pharmacoepidemiology studies to provide insights into different aspects of medicines utilization.
  • Medicines information studies to promote rational use of medicines by healthcare professionals and the public.
  • Therapeutic drug monitoring and pharmacometric studies to optimize medication therapy.
  • Pharmacy education studies to understand educational environment, identify educational needs and impact of educational interventions.

  • Pattern of medicines use and problems deserving more detailed studies.
  • Quality of medicines utilization using audits to compare actual use to national/international clinical guidelines.
  • Outcomes consequences on service provision and medicines use.
  • Explore and audit the functions of healthcare professionals in reducing the burden of medicines-related problems, adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
  • Development and implementation of strategies to improve adverse drug reactions reporting among healthcare professionals based on identified barriers.
  • Explore strategies and develop tailored tools to improve adherence to medication.
  • Evaluation and design dosage regimens using modeling and simulation techniques.
  • Educational issues including innovative teaching approaches, curriculum design, and inter-professional education.
